A Safer County for a New Tomorrow

Hello, my name is David Winge and I am running for Sheriff of Montgomery County, Georgia.  I am a Conservative, a NRA member and a strong supporter of the Second Amendment.  In the last few years, our county has experienced an increase in crime, to include burglary, drug possession, assault and battery.  Meth labs have become an increasing problem in areas that were once deemed safe.   

No matter the crime, one crime is one too many.  

Montgomery County is a rural county in Southern Georgia, a large county that includes Ailey, Alston, Higgston, the county seat of Mount Vernon, Tarrytown, Uvalda and some parts of Vidalia. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Montgomery County has a total area of 245 square miles.  

This county, rich in pine trees and wildlife, is home to a thriving agricultural community and the world-famous Vidalia Onions.  It's a county that is home to families who have lived here for generations.  They go to church, school and work and they run successful businesses and farms.  They enjoy the simple country life and they deserve to live in peace without the worries of burglars or drug dealers causing problems on their street or county road.  

On Tuesday, May 24, 2016, the citizens of Montgomery County will vote in the Georgia Primary.  I am asking for your vote. We need to clean up Montgomery County and once again make it safe for the working families of rural Georgia.
